Contract Manufacturing
![]() Contract Manufacturing The CEMCO fabrication department has successfully completed its ASW D1.1 Structural Welding Code-Steel certification for A-36 plate and A514 grade B (T-1) plate.This certification spells out the requirements for design, procedures, qualification, fabrication, inspection, and repair of pipe, plate, and structural shapes that are subject to either static or cyclical stresses. The CEMCO welders that participated in this certification process are: Lee Shoemaker (supervisor), Harold Williams, Joe Walls, Leroy Rael, Duane Martinez, Michael Lawson and Travis Massegee. This certification will allow CEMCO to pursue a broader range of government and specialty contracting opportunities. A514 grade B (T-1) plate is a unique steel alloy that is stronger than regular A-36 grade steel, and only a handful of manufacturers are certified to weld on this material. CEMCO has been fabricating steel products for heavy industrial machinery for over 46 years and has a reputation of the highest quality craftsmanship and integrity. “This certification process has brought the Welding and Fabrication Department quality to an even higher level.
